There's a tradition in Atlanta on the 4th.
It's called the Peachtree Road Race.
And it ain't your run of the mill 10K.
It's the biggest 10K in the world.
Yes, the world!
60,000 runners.
And it's hot here.
(They call it Hotlanta for a reason, y'all!)
Daily highs in the mid 90's.
Humidity at 80%.
Sticky.
Hot.
The SixtyFeet crew decided it would be fun to join
59,992 of our best friends at the end of the race and pass out
cold bottled water.
Wondering how you can get one of these cool SixtyFeet t'shirts?
Glad you asked!
Think about this...
one race
60,000 runners
4 hours from first finisher to last
120,000 gallons of water
And it's expected that there will be fresh bottled water at the end.
The ironic part is that
it was water that first took us
to Uganda
and "M".
Do you think these guys expect fresh water?
Nope.
They are thankful if they even get water within a 4 hour period.
And this is usually what it looks like.
Wow.
The things we take for granted.
Fresh water.

Y'all rock!
