Now We're Talkin'

I'd like you to meet my friend, Daniel.

(the fella in red)

He's a resident of M3.

You should know,

M3 is a remand home

designed for 30 children,

ages 3-7.

There are now 148 children,

ages 18 months to 18 years

living in this remand home.

I don't know his story.

All I know is he's an 18 year old 

hearing impaired boy.

Did you know that sign language

is the same in America as it is in Africa?

God obviously ordained that I'd learn 

sign language in the 7th grade.

He knew that one day I'd use it to 

communicate with my brother 

half way around the world.

No one else at M3 is able to communicate

with Daniel.

You should have seen the smile

on his beautiful face

as I started to "talk" with him.

But that's not the coolest part.

Remember how the children

asked for Bibles all week?

Daniel was no exception.

When he asked me for a Bible,

all I had was a children's Bible.

That delighted him.

He received the Bible,

sat in a corner,

and started "reading" it.

He signed word for word. 

So, I joined in.

I sat next to him in the corner

and we "read out loud" together.

It was beautiful.
